Chris Musto
Christopher R. Musto is a retired Special Agent who served in an executive role within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). At HSI, Chris oversaw investigative operations and programs throughout New Jersey. These included oversight of child exploitation, human trafficking, narcotics trafficking, transnational organized crime and gangs, money laundering, violent crime and terrorism. Chris prepared briefings for senior leadership of DHS, worked on special projects for U.S. Attorney General Barr and led HSI's prosecution of the leadership of MS-13 in El Salvador. Chris Musto served as a Congressional and Public Affairs liaison as well.
A resident of the 36th Legislative District for over 35 years, he has been actively involved in his community, volunteering as a coach for various sports teams and elected twice to the Lyndhurst Board of Education, serving as its President for two years. He and his wife Maria, a Kindergarten teacher, have two children and live in Lyndhurst.
Diane DeBiase
Diane DeBiase is a Republican Candidate running for Legislative District 36 Assembly. She has been married to her husband Ron for almost 24 years and has three children: McKenna 22, Ronny 20, and Jackson 15. She currently lives in Carlstadt and spent her entire life in District 36. Diane graduated from Rutherford High School and obtained her BA in English/Journalism from New Jersey City University. Diane currently works at Carlstadt Public School as an Assistant to the Principal, and is also an elected Carlstadt Councilwoman. She was appointed to the council to fill current Mayor Zimmermann’s unexpired council term and then went on to win two full-term elections. She has served on many committees and even served as the Council President.
When Diane was in college, she did her internship for Assemblywoman Rose Heck. After her internship was done, she was hired as a legislative aide. In this position, she travelled to Trenton with the Assemblywoman and was an involved in every aspect of LD 38. It was here that she learned all the ins and outs of Trenton. She was able to attend assembly sessions, and get involved with statewide projects.
